So off to the studio I went.兄が新曲の”がんばろう Japan"を聞いた後、“フレディー、この曲の英語版を作ればいいじゃないか”って。なるほど！............早速レコーディングの始まりだ..............I thought, since its a Japanese song I wanted to retain some Japanese words so I kept the Ganbarou Japan part on the Chorus.英語バージョンを作る上で、この曲は日本人への応援ソングだから、サビに出てくる”がんばろうJapan”という歌詞だけは、そのままkeepする事にして、レコーディングを進めました。
The recording was finished, so I went to have a drink with the family.”そして、レコーディングが終わり、ちょっとみんなに聞いて貰いながら、何か飲もう♪”と思って。But.........でも。.............my brothers wife listened to it and said, Freddie, that is !
a beautiful song! But what does Ganbarou mean?兄の奥さんが曲を聞いて、”フレディー！これはいい曲やんか！けどGanbarou,ってどういう意味？？”と言われ..........I explained it to her........言葉の意味を説明しました。Why didnt you make that part English too? で、意味を知った後で、せっかく英語バージョンとして作ったのに、何故その部分も英語にしなかったの？と...Well, I wanted top leave some remnant of Japanese in the song, I said.私は、その理由も説明をしました。 “I see, she said.そしてやっと”なるほど”っと。Mmmm,wow, if only English speaking people understood it.でも、英語しか分からない人も、曲の中で、"がんばろう"の意味が分かるともっと良いねって。
...Then she said,Mmm I hear God Bless You Japan on the chorus.そんな話しをしながら何回も聴くうちに、なんか"がんばろうJapan"の部分が、 "God Bless You Japan"(日本に神の御加護がありますように)って聞こえるけど。という意見が出てきて！！！Wow!,I cried. That is perfect!私は、凄い！！それはぴったりだ！！もう目からウロコでした。
So, I am still in the studio, working, not vacationing...........だから、まだレコーディングは終わってないねん。仕事は続いています。
